Washington Youth Soccer is holding tryouts for the Elite Player Development program 2010 age group. Elite Player Development participates in the Olympic Development Program through US Youth Soccer. EPD is different from club teams, almost all of our kids also play for their clubs while participating in EPD; the EPD pool only practices 1-2 times per month. Typically tryouts for EPD are in August, but we are holding a special tryout for the 2010 age group in April for the 2020-2021 season.
Sunday, April 11, 18, and 25 – all in the evening.
*We highly recommend players attend all 3 sessions.
Location: Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA
Cost: $25 for all three sessions.
Registration is now open for tryout April 25.
There will be no registration allowed on site. If you would like to attend tryouts, you must sign up and pay online in advance.
*Registration will close on Sunday April 25 at noon.

Players selected from tryouts will be placed into teams that will have two training sessions in preparation for the Friendship Cup tournament in Portland, Oregon over Memorial Day weekend (May 28-30). Players selected to train and attend Friendship Cup will receive 2 training shirts, one hoodie, one pair of Adidas shorts, and two pairs of Adidas socks.
Training and Friendship Cup cost: $300
The cost covers training sessions, gear, and Friendship Cup fee (covers team entry fee, coaching expenses and administrative fee).
The Friendship Cup tournament will once again host some of the top youth players and teams in the country in Beaverton, Oregon. Friendship Cup has served as one of the top ODP tournaments in the country for the past 36 years. The list of professional and national team players who have played in this event is endless, and typically hosts MLS pre‐academy teams and ODP teams.
Each EPD team will play 4 games. First game will be on Friday after 1pm.
Transportation: WYS will not offer any transportation due to COVID-19 restriction.
Lodging: Each player is responsible for their own accommodations. We will reserve a block of rooms in different hotels so families can book their room through our link.
