Tournament Sanctioning Application Process

1. The new tournament sanctioning process will be done electronically. Handwritten documents will not be accepted at the State level.

2. You will receive a confirmation email once you have submitted an application. This confirmation email only confirms that we have received your submission; it does NOT indicate that your application has been approved.

3. Any changes that need to be made to the application after it has been submitted. Please send an email to The email must list the changes and the Association President must be on the email chain with their approval.

4. Tournament sanctioning documents must be submitted at least 60 days before the event is to occur.

5. During the new process you will be asked to pay the Tournament Sanction fee of $150.00 with a credit card only. The credit card will only be charged once the tournament fee is approved.

6. Once the tournament is approved it will be displayed on our Sanction Tournament site. There will also be the official USYS-approved documentation that can be downloaded and uploaded to the tournament site.

7. If the tournament is hosting foreign teams there is a new online process for the US Soccer Application. The process is online, and the cost is $200.00 (payment credit card only). You must submit the application 30 days before the tournament.
